Saturday 8-23 - goes off with a bang

Sunny skies and a fresh breeze made for great racing conditions. #24 won Race 1, while #15 took Race 2. A collision at the leeward mark in Race 2 between Windward and Bahama Gal led to Windward’s retirement after an uncontested protest. The August Series remains tight heading into the final races.

Erin cancels our Wednesday night race - but the bar was open

No Wednesday night race for 8/20 as Erin passes us to the East.

Wednesday Night's biggest turn out

Biggest race of the season with 17 boats and 22 Juniors on the line. Steady 10-knot breeze made for fast, fun sailing, with Cactus Pie taking the win. Packed house after racing, and drops in the series will start next week as we hit race 13.

Saturday Series Aug 8/9

Saturday’s race was held inside due to light winds and a smaller-than-usual race committee team. Ten boats were on the starting line, though a technical issue meant only nine were able to compete in the first race.

Watch Hill wins the Parsons Cup!

Mark Schneider, Sara Kearney, Tom Kearney, Stephen Schwartz, SJ Lefebvre and Scott Brooks represented Watch Hill in the annual Parsons Cup on Sunday. After a day of challenging sailing on Herreshoff Bulleyes, the racers returned with a win for WHYC, with Stephen and Tom placing first and Scott and Sara placing third overall.

Thank you Fishers Island Yacht Club for hosting such a great day of sailing!
